apply for a place
The daycare centre will welcome its first children at the start of the 2026 school year.
If you would like a place, you must register on the waiting list. This allows us to gather all the information we need to plan for your child’s possible admission. At the end of the process, you will receive a confirmation email. As soon as a place becomes available, the nursery management will contact you (in March 2026).
Early childhood enrolment
From Friday 6 February 2026, pre-registration for the 2026-2027 school year at the Norette Mertens nursery will only be possible via the Geneva State e-démarches digital portal: https://sape.pecg.ch/

presentation of the daycare centre
The daycare centre, located in the new Vandoeuvres neighbourhood, has three multi-age groups of 14 places each, with a garden exclusively reserved for children. This multi-age group structure promotes positive group dynamics, where older children develop skills in caring for younger ones, thereby boosting their self-confidence and communication skills. The youngest children, meanwhile, learn through observation and imitation.
Our teaching methods allow children to discover the world at their own pace in a safe and stimulating environment. We encourage independence and learning through experimentation, while emphasising emotional support and the quality of human relationships, which are essential for children’s development.
