As a qualified pediatric nurse and early childhood educator, I also hold a DAS in Social Institution Management. For several years, I have been supporting the development and leadership of early childhood education and care settings. As manager of the Vandoeuvres daycare center, I am committed to promoting high-quality care based on kindness, safety, and respect for each child's individual pace of development. Together with the team, we strive to provide a stimulating environment that nurtures children's growth and fosters trusting relationships with their families.

The Norette Mertens daycare center in Vandoeuvres welcomes children from 4 months to 4 years in mixed-age groups, promoting mutual support and continuity. Set in a green environment, it offers bright, adaptable spaces designed for the well-being of children and high-quality care for families.
Our program is built around three areas: sensory experiences, movement, and symbolic exploration. Through mixed-age groups and versatile materials, children develop autonomy, creativity, and cooperation. An intergenerational project enriches these experiences by fostering encounters and social connections.

The daycare centre will welcome its first children at the start of the 2026 school year.
If you would like a place, you must register on the waiting list. This allows us to gather all the information we need to plan for your child’s possible admission. At the end of the process, you will receive a confirmation email. As soon as a place becomes available, the nursery management will contact you (in March 2026).

From Friday 6 February 2026, pre-registration for the 2026-2027 school year at the Norette Mertens nursery will only be possible via the Geneva State e-démarches digital portal: https://sape.pecg.ch/
